The delights of Constantine Bay and its unspoilt nature have brought families back to this popular part of North Cornwall for generations. The village is close to five sandy beaches offering swimming, surfing, rock pooling or just paddling. The stunning wide sandy beach at Constantine is about 8 minutes’ walk from the house, and also walkable nearby are Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivy’s Bay, Harlyn Bay and Treyarnon Bay.
Treless is perfectly located for the Constantine Bay Stores which is less than a 2 minute walk away. Next to it is the Constantine Bay Surf Store which stocks all the necessary equipment and can arrange surfing lessons. A further 2 minute walk takes you to the Trevose Golf Club with its 3 courses (Championship and 2 x nine holes) tennis courts and outdoor swimming pool.
The coastline in this part of Cornwall is magnificent. The South West Coast Path threads its way along and above the beaches and around the impressive Trevose Head. For the more adventurous, coastal walks to Treyarnon and around the wonderfully named Pepper Cove, Warren Cove and Fox Cove will take you to Porthcothan and on towards Bedruthan Steps. In the other direction, the South West Coast Path will take you to Harlyn Bay and Trevone Bay before reaching Stepper Point and then Padstow, with the option of the local bus from Padstow back to Constantine Bay.
There are several good restaurants locally, including newly opened The Pig at Harlyn Bay, a 15 min walk, and several others in St Merryn and the better known venues in Padstow (including The Seafood Restaurant and No 6). Padstow also has a wide range of shops and an attractive harbour from where there is a ferry to Rock and the possibility to book fishing trips. Further afield, there are numerous National Trust houses and gardens, the Eden Project, and the cliff top Minack open air theatre at Porthcurno is spectacular. The local Padstow Farm Shop has a wide range of local produce.
